The Palette Pulse: March Art Vibes
Hello Everyone,
My go-to small talk subject with most people is the weather. Why do I choose it? Maybe because it's a topic everyone is familiar with. They can simply look out their window or go outside to respond. I think it’s filler conversation. It’s probably fine for the listener to have a few seconds of pause while I come up with another opener. So, with April just three days away, I will work on a different, more intriguing way to start a conversation. I bet you can’t wait (so much sarcasm)!
Here’s where my art has taken me since my last newsletter, along with some reminders about where I’m headed in the future.
Art Mozaik Fine Art Gallery
I'm excited to announce that Art Mozaik Fine Art Gallery has selected one of my pieces for their “Spring Reflection” exhibit. You can view the exhibit at their gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. I’m particularly fond of this gallery because it perfectly showcases my bright, bold art. They excel at choosing pieces as intense and colorful as I enjoy creating. Here are the details of the show:
The Spring Reflection Exhibit is being held at Art Mozaik Fine Art Gallery, located at 713 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM 87501, and will run until April 13.
Gallery Hours: Daily from 10 am to 6 pm
My piece in the show is “Spring’s Release,” a Spring Day on canvas piece measuring 11 x 14 inches. If it doesn’t sell at the show, it will be available on my website starting April 14.
Fourteenfifteen Art Gallery
“Beginning” is my series that will be shown at the Fourteenfifteen Art Gallery in Albuquerque for a show titled Fun-A-Day. This show challenged artists to create one piece of art daily throughout January. The gallery was closed due to a fire, so the show was postponed. Another space for the show was acquired and the show is going to happen! Here are the new details:
Opening Reception: Friday, April 4, 6 - 9 pm Closing Reception: Friday, May 2, 6 - 9 pm Temporary Headquarters: 1411 4th St. SW, ABQ, Suites 218 and 219
Every year, dozens of artists create fantastic mini-masterpieces for OffCenter Arts to auction at their annual Little House Auction! The auction showcases the diverse creativity of Albuquerque’s many artists and raises essential funds for OffCenter’s free programs.
Rick and I picked up our house “blanks” and have started crafting our pieces for the OffCenter Community Arts Project Little House Auction.
The Little House Auction is more than just a fundraiser; it celebrates the transformative power of art and the vibrant community that makes OffCenter unique.

Therefore, in August, we will showcase our art in a group exhibit at Old Walls Gallery in Albuquerque, NM.
Show Dates: August 1 - August 29
Opening Reception: Friday, August 1, from 5 to 8 PM
Exhibit Dates and Hours: August 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 10 AM to noon or by appointment by contacting the gallery at 505-508-5710.

La Fonda Residency
I’m incredibly excited to have been offered a weekend residency at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe in July. A subsequent newsletter will include more about this adventure.
The 8th House
I am excitedly spending a significant amount of time preparing for my month as the featured artist at The 8th House, an antique and vintage shop near Nob Hill in Albuquerque. My original art, prints, cards, and stickers will be available in the shop from September 1 to September 30. Stay tuned!
