The Palette Pulse: December Art Vibes

Hi Folks,

It looks like the entire month of November passed and I didn’t send a newsletter. Here are some reasons why I skipped it.

My 2025 Art Calendar arrived and was sent to my wonderful calendar collectors - THANK YOU (you know who you are)!

The “Senses” Art Show at Art Mozaik Fine Art Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe was a grand success! There are always many people walking up and down Canyon Road, so I know my art was seen by thousands of them.

Thanksgiving - buying, prepping, cooking, eating, celebrating, and enjoying family. Enough said!

Hanging Art at Joe’s Pasta House - Who doesn’t like Pasta in a cozy restaurant? My art, along with the art of my friends Yolanda and Rosario, is up on their walls. Joe’s Pasta House is located at 3201 Southern Blvd SE
Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Hanging Art at Dulce River Bakery (4405 Jager Dr. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144). It’s a fantastic stop for a cup of coffee and a sweet baked item while looking at my friends and my art.

STILL SHOWING

The exhibit “R3SI$T” is still showing at Old Walls Gallery in Albuquerque, 820 Kent Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM. The exhibition addresses the themes of protest, justice, hope, and visions of a new world. The show opens runs until December 27. It’s filled with magnificent art - check it out!

Chicky’s Coffee in Bernalillo is still the place to be for coffee and friendly faces. Everywhere you look at Chicky’s there is art; a feast for the eyes. Rick and I are there every Monday morning. We start our week out right with coffee, pastries, and checking in with Shari running the shop or Deanza behind the counter. They are having a sale on their bags of coffee right now. Stop by or order online HERE.

UPCOMING SHOW

Two mixed media pieces were accepted into a juried New Mexico Art League show. The show, “Small Works,” is a festive and fun annual exhibit of works by New Mexico artists of all subject matter and mediums, all in an excellent small package. Perfect for gift-giving for the holidays! The show's opening will be on December 5 and run until January 11, 2025. The opening reception will be held on December 14 from 4 - 6 PM. The exhibition is open to the public, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM. The New Mexico Art League Gallery is at 3409 Juan Tabo Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you can’t make the show in person, the show is also online HERE.

THIS IS EXCITING!

I was selected to be the featured artist at The 8th House (The 8th House! ABQ's Antiques, Vintage, and Art Shop) in September next year. I am so thrilled to have my art in this unique shop, and I’ve got to start creating!

My Godfather, Uncle Joe, passed on December 7. He was a second Dad to me, a jolly family member, my Mom’s best friend, and my most creative relative. I will spend the rest of my life remembering him, especially around this time of year, which was probably his favorite time because he loved being around his family. I already miss him.

Thank you for attending my shows, purchasing my calendar and art, subscribing to my newsletter, reading my newsletter, and/or following me on Instagram or Facebook. I appreciate you!
