WIP x 3

Today is my Dad’s 83rd birthday! My husband, Rick and I spent the day relaxing at the home I grew up in with both of my parents.

On the art front:

Working on three paintings at a time is my new thing. I’m not talking about three paintings in a series, but three different ones. I don’t waste any paint this way and it keeps my creative juices flowing while one of the three is drying. I don’t get bored sitting painting only one at a time. What I don’t do is paint three canvases at a time….I’ll do two at the most…and the other piece is usually on mixed media paper. The sizes also matter when I am working on three pieces at a time. Why? Well because my space is limited in my art studio. I have room for two rather large canvases to sit and dry, but not three.

I’ve tried to think of a downside to working on three pieces at a time, but none have come to my attention. Maybe you can think of a downside. If so, let me know. Thanks.

Happy March, everyone!
